Name: Jay P. Wild
Age: 35
Occupation: Doctor
Manifestation: N/A
Personality: Jay is a little bit of an odd ball. He isn't crazy, like many people make him out to be, but he is certainly hard to understand it terms of what he is thinking. He doesn't let anyone know of his past, because believes what happened in the past stays there, there is no need to relive things through tales and unnecessary words. The future is what is most important, especially when it comes to ridding the world of this disaster that has killed so many people. On a side note, he can also be a bit of ladies' man, having slept around quite a bit in his years.
Skills: Of course, Jay has excellent medical skills, but he is also a fantastic writer, having had dreams to become a world famous author before the tear appeared. He carries notebooks with him wherever he goes, documenting his 'adventures' into some grand story, morphing a fictional novel around his autobiography.
Equipment: He carries a bag with him at all times, hold his usual medical supplies and various other things. Notebooks, writing utensils, a small hand gun, and other miscellaneous things that he believes he needs.
Background: As a young child, Jay always dreamed of becoming an author, writing fictional novels about great heroes and fantasies. That's where his mind dwelled. By the age of 7 he had already began writing, little small stories in a book about dragons and knights, rescuing the princess from a troll, or hideous witch. Even stories about kittens and puppies made it into his little book of stories. As he grew older, and his writing improved, his stories began to escalate into stories of more modern ideas. His stories no longer lived entirely in a fantasy world of witches and wizards, but instead of the modern world.
He was 10 years old when the tear appeared, and almost immediately, his parents forbid him from writing. They feared he would take this new disaster and write a story based off of it, and it was not something they wished to be responsible for. However, he continued to write in his room, alone in the middle of the night, behind his parents unknowing eyes.
Two years after the tear appeared, Jay's parents came down with the illness, yet he seemed completely unaffected. Because of this, he had to take care of his parents, neglecting his writing for a few years. He never understood why he never grew ill, and being such a young age, it wasn't surprising. It wasn't until he was 15 that he heard of the people known as "The Manifested" and their "Doctors". Since he cared for his parents to the best of his abilities, that is what Jay considered himself; a Doctor. For eight years, his parents hung on to the life they had, fighting the illness, but eventually it took it's toll on them, and when Jay was 20 years old they passed on.
After their deaths, Jay felt as if he had failed his parents. He wanted to help someone who needed him, like his parents had. He wished to make a difference in that person's life, and help them to live through this world of death and disease. He decided to become a Doctor, and it wasn't until he completed his dream that he took up writing again, this time making the story about himself. A fantasized autobiography of Jay P. Wild.
At the age of 30 Jay's sleeping around caught up with him. A woman that he had dated for a while, name Rachel, ended up pregnant. He decided to end his long line of relationship jumping and stayed with this particular girl. However, a month before the baby was due, a little girl, Rachel became ill from the tear. She died during child birth, much like many other women during this time. The little girl survived, but Jay wasn't fit to be a parent. He gave her up for adoption, hoping and praying that his little girl would grow up strong.
Voice Actor: Chuck Huber (Dr. Franken Stein from the anime Soul Eater)
Appearance: (I will be drawing him eventually, but for now, just a description will do.)
Jay is a tall man, 6'6 at his highest, however he tends to slouch at most times putting him at 6'2 instead. He has shaggy silver-blond hair that tends to fall into his eyes, which are a deep green in color and his face is littered with stuble that he never feels up to shaving off. At times he carries a pair of glasses with him, that he sometimes wears but on a lot of occasions he doesn't. For clothing, he likes a variety of outfits, going from a black long-sleeved shirt that hugs his frame, to a baggy coat. If you are lucky, you may even catch him in a t-shirt, but that's only if you manage to catch him when he wakes, and only a handful of women have ever seen that.
